North Tyneside User Forum
The User Forum is a group of people with learning disabilities who meet to talk about the things that are important to them. The Forum meets 4 times a year, and is organised by an elected committee of people with learning disabilities.
It is a Forum of the North Tyneside Learning Disability Partnership Board. This means it thinks about what Valuing People Now says should happen and helps the Partnership Board to understand the views of people of learning disabilities. Four members of the Forum are elected onto the Partnership Board, one as the Co-Chair and the other three as representatives. Information and agreed actions from the work of the User Forum is shared directly through a regular slot in Partnership Board meetings and through relevant sub groups.
